After big hopes for a powerful Ford-V10 Engine,Sauber was very frustrated.The new Zetec V10
had almost 100 hp less than the top-engines like Renault or Peugeot.But with the new Car,the
C15,Sauber was positively surprised.He said:"The C15 Chassis is almost as well as the Chassis
of Benetton,McLaren or Ferrari.We don`t have to shy a comparison with the Chassis`s of the top
teams".He`s got right,on the tracks which a strong Engine isn`t needed,Sauber was qualified in
the top 10.But the whole 96` season was very disappointing for the team,because of the main
problem,the Ford Zetec-R V10 Engine.Only in Monaco Sauber had a little success with the podium
place (3rd) of Johnny Herbert and H.H.Frentzen`s 4th place.
